Ever since then he has become very interactive and constantly smiles at us while cooing and making the sweetest noises. I captured a few videos this morning but unfortunately the camera I used didn't record the sound. Here I was trying to figure out the video on a different camera while on the phone with Jared. It just so happened that Preston decided to talk to me to get my attention.

Smiling and Talking
Ever since then he has become very interactive and constantly smiles at us while cooing and making the sweetest noises. 1 month!
It happened, our baby is 1 month old today. I knew babies grew fast but I have never payed as close attention to that growth as I have with our son. Holy Smokes, he grows fast!! How can he go from being so little and fragile, hardly ever opening his eyes and no interaction to a little boy who smiles and coos whenever he sees mom or dad, holding up his head, pushing with his legs, and just being so curious about the world around him in just 4 and a half weeks?
Such a stud in his cute hat and shoes. Unfortunately this was the last time he could wear the jacket, shoes, and hat. He just grew too fast. Or in the case of the hat which is size 0-3 mo. he started out too big.
Chillin' with daddy while watching 24.
(I wasn't sure which picture I liked better so you get them both.)
My sweet boy sleeping
He no longer likes to be swaddled unless I intentionally leave his arms free so he can spread out a little more when he sleeps. I have to tell you what a strong happy little boy this is. He's been fighting the stomach flu for the last couple days but he is still so sweet and happy. As long as I am holding him or he is sleeping he is super content and smiley even just before he throws up. It breaks my heart to have a sick little boy but I just love him so much more to see how strong and happy he is while not feeling well. I have a lot to learn from him already.
Pictures taken today at 1 month old:
I love his sneezes
Too bad the camera focused on his hand but it's still a sweet picture.

Picture Time!
Preston is now just over three weeks old and getting cuter every day. As long as he doesn't sleep too much in the day he will sleep for five hours at a time at night. The only catch is he won't go to sleep for the night until 11:30 or 12:00 which is a bit of a challenge when I am not a night person. Since that is my only complaint I would like to submit that I have the perfect baby.
I had no way of knowing how much I would love this little guy or how much I would love being his mom and having him be completely dependent on me for his health and well being. It is such a sweet thing to know that I am the one people will had him over to when he is fussy (which is rare) because we have a bond and I can calm him down. The word MOM has such a different meaning to me now.
Here are several pictures I (or my grandpa) have taken in the last two weeks:
Meeting Great Grandpa Wills with his uncle Hyrum near by. Wherever the baby is chances are pretty good Hyrum is there too.
So content with his Great Grandma Wills
didn't really like the bath at first.
Then he settled in and has seemed indifferent to it since
This one just makes me want to smother that soft face in kisses

too cute to keep to myself
This is how I found Preston during one of his naps today. It made me laugh so I had to get a picture. Like I said in the last post his favorite position is with his legs scrunched up and hands next to his face. He is beginning to stretch out a bit but he still sleeps with his legs up. Apparently he still doesn't like the idea of clothes.
The cute yawn I captured while taking pictures of him showing off the bear Grandpa and Grandma Heath sent for him.
I think this picture speaks for itself at how precious this little guy is.
