Most of our life isn't all that exciting but we make sure to have a little fun every once in a while. Here are a few things we've done the last few weeks. WARNING: this is a long post but don't worry it's mostly pictures.
Ice Blocking:
 |
| The boys needed a little more excitement so they had to slide down the hill with freezing cold water at the bottom without falling in. In case you were wondering where the water came from, Rock Canyon was built to be a big drain so every spring there is an ice cold river running around the park from the drain off from the mountains. |

Date in Salt Lake City:
This fountain is in between the Blue Lemon and Deseret Book in the new mall that replaced Cross Roads Mall. It was very fascinating to watch so of course I took lots of pictures. We ordered our food at Blue Lemon and then went to enjoy the beautiful weather and the fountains.
Soon after we got married we discovered Blue Lemon in Highland and fell in love. We've been there a couple times and couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the one in Salt Lake too. We've tried something new each time and we're still impressed. One thing I love about them is that their food isn't just good but they do such a great job with the presentation. I'm not sure why but presentation and atmosphere are almost as important to me as quality of food, that is if I'm paying you for it.

| Spinach artichoke dip with Pita chips (this has always been one of my favorites so it was only natural to get it when we saw it on the menu) |
 |
| Fresh Fruit Salad |
 |
| Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Talk about taking a common meal and adding your own flare to make it irresistible. |
 |
| Turkey burger. I'm not sure how they did it but this was so juicy and flavorful. |
After our wonderful meal we walked down the street to the Brigham Young Park to enjoy the free concert. This particular concert was of a Yodeler. We were pretty apprehensive but figured it didn't matter how good the concert was it would just be nice to sit on the grass and enjoy each others company. Turns out he was really good and pretty entertaining.
After the concert we headed up to This is The Place Monument to see the sunset. It sure was a beautiful night and the perfect date.
Hiking Donut falls:
 |
| Good friends of ours who joined us for the hike and decided to get in a snowball fight |
 |
| He is so handsome! |
Due to the weather this winter and spring the river was too high and blocked the trail to get all the way up to the donut. Don't worry we still had fun.
 |
| Taking off the shoes to walk through the water and make it a little further. |
 |
| This is as far up as we got. |
Fun! We miss seeing you guys!
