Jared's company is hosting a conference downtown this week. They had a few extra rooms reserved and payed for so they let us use one of them for a night. What a fun little getaway it was. Preston and I packed a suitcase and went to meet Jared down there as soon as he was done working the conference for the day.
This little guy was being so sweet and happy the whole time (I shouldn't be surprised since he naturally is that way). He loved playing on the bed.
This was our room on the 12th floor of the Radisson.
Waiting for Daddy to get there.
While Jared and I were eating dinner Preston was playing on the floor and found himself under the bed.
The only natural thing to do in this situation is to play Peek-a-boo
After filling our stomachs we went to visit the used book store on main street. Unfortunately they did not have Les Miserables in French.
They sure did have a lot of other books though. For what looked like a small store from the street this place was huge. Everywhere we turned there was another room full of books.
We then took a walk down main street and found ourselves at City Creek where we stopped in Deseret Book and H&M. Then because it was a special occasion we couldn't pass up a slice of cheese cake from the Cheese Cake Factory.
We were looking forward to some alone time after Preston should have gone to bed at 9 but I think he was a little excited about being in a new place with so much to explore that he refused to go to sleep until 10:30 (his nap around 7:30 probably didn't help). At least he was being so darn cute and we were still able to have good relaxed family time away from home where we would have felt like we should be more productive.
