Thanksgiving

We were so lucky to go to Texas for Thanksgiving this year. We left early Thanksgiving day and arrived in Dallas around 3:00 that afternoon. Unfortunately we were too busy keeping Preston entertained while traveling, catching up with family, and eating that we didn't even think to take pictures on Thanksgiving day.

Preston enjoyed Papa's tractor

We were in Dallas for almost a whole week. It was the perfect visit with just enough activities to keep us busy but plenty of time to relax and just enjoy each others company and the good weather. The temperatures were in the high 50's and 60's the whole week. Coming from freezing weather we felt like we were in paradise.

After the women spent the morning shopping on Black Friday we all took the kids to the park for a few hours
.

The weather was nice when you came from freezing but for Lanae and David's kids coming from Del Rio it was still a little cold. She sure was super cute in this hat and coat.

Men will always be little boys at heart. This toy is great for little kids but when the adults got on it got a little dangerous.

There was a lot of falling taking place.

and lots of laughter

Tammy even gave it a shot. Austin tried his best to catch her after she got so dizzy.
At least he softened the fall

Emeri the little worm going down the slide.

Preston chased her all over the play ground trying to help her get her hat back on.

Uncle David keeping the kids entertained with some dominos

This is a moment to go down in history. Logan actually smiled for the camera

Preston couldn't get enough of the trains.

Our white elephant exchange

This was no ordinary white elephant exchange. It involved a little acting, drawing, guessing, and silliness.

Austin with the most popular gift. A giant box of chocolates.

Jared's birthday wasn't until a couple weeks later but I thought it would be fun for him to celebrate with his family. Jared and I went out to Square Burger for dinner and when we got back we surprised him with balloons and this cake Tammy made.

Since we were all together at the beginning of the Christmas season we decided to do an old Heath family tradition and split into two groups to go brother sister shopping. Instead of drawing names for Christmas gifts we had two groups buying gifts for each member of the other group. The night before we all left we exchanged the gifts.

Tammy showing off her new sunglasses

Austin's reaction when he realized he got the same thing as Colton. At home suspension kit for exercise.

Liz showing off her new sunglasses.

Mitchell being a bit sarcastic in his excitement for his gag gift of a Barbie movie. He was a little more genuine when he opened his Diablo video game.

I love this picture of Isaac. He refused to open his eyes because the sun was too bright.

All the grandkids in front of Papa's tree.

All this boy needs to be entertained is a train or truck.
