For the 4th of July we started our day with my family. We had the traditional pancake breakfast in the backyard and some slip 'n slide fun
.
Preston wasn't interested in going down the slide but he loved having the job of keeping it wet.
Jessica and Grant
Sierra and Preston love their aunts and uncles. I think I'm pretty safe to say the feelings are mutual.
After several hours with my family we headed up to Evanston Wyoming for dinner and fireworks with the Fletchers. These two did very well and gave us hope that maybe our long drive to Minot, ND might not be too bad.

We had a lot of fun just spending time together while we waited for it to get dark enough for the real fun to begin.

If Jackson and Sierra weren't babies we'd be a little concerned with the affection they show toward each other.
He's not a fan of the grass
Camrie brought some of the speech games she plays with her students. Preston thought they were so much fun. It was a great exercise for him.
Rolling down the hill
playing games is a little more difficult than it used to be now that we have little children but it's still fun when we can.
Waiting for the firework show to begin
The best part was being up on the hill to watch the whole city and all the private firework shows. People really go all out.
The City show was a little less than spectacular but we couldn't beat the company or the view from the hill.
