Installing a ceiling fan is a little more complicated than we thought. Especially when you have to do it in the dark because to cut off the electricity to that fixture it cuts off electricity to the whole first floor. Over three hours later we finally got the fan working only to find out the fan was designed to override the switches on the wall so we have to use the remote. A remote is a nice feature but should not be depended on, especially with a toddler running around. Now that we know what questions to ask we may have to do more shopping around and figure out how to fit this fan back in the box.
