Montreal, St Joseph's Basilica

After a couple days in Quebec city we headed back to Montreal for a few days. On our first day we took a tour of St. Joseph's Basilica. It was definitely interesting to see where and how the Catholics worship.

Preston is a bit of a pill now a days when it comes to taking pictures. This is the best we could get.

Lincoln and Preston crawling around not caring where we were. They just wanted room to let out some energy. By the look on Lincoln's face you would think Preston was letting out a little more.

Behind the cage is a glass box containing the actual heart of St. Andre, the Bishop who had the Basilica built. It was a little gross and creepy

Preston was happy to be on dad's shoulders he just refuses to smile when the camera is out.

 The chapel

As soon as we walked in the chapel Preston had to sit on the pew and then began singing. If we ever wonder why we even go to church I guess we have proof that he is getting something.

The room of candles where you could pay $6 to light a candle as a prayer for someone in need.

After the Basilica we had to stop at the grocery store called Maxi. This was the place Jared did all his grocery shopping while on his mission. It was fun to pick up a few items he loved that you can't get here in the states, real maple syrup and strawberry rhubarb jam.

Most of the time Lincoln loved Preston and the attention he got but sometimes Preston's hugs and sweetness got a little too rough.
