Our Trip to Boston

Yup, I'm playing catch up. Many pictures in this post and posts to come.

Through a series of events we were fortunate to have the opportunity to visit my cousin and her husband in Boston. It is rare to find friends like the Hammons who we can do anything with and be completely ourselves.  We sure have missed them since they moved from our apartment complex to across the country.

This little boy was such a champ. All day traveling with one of the flights being 4 hours and he barely fussed. His sleep patterns stayed as consistent as they are at home. We did a lot of walking around sight seeing in the cold and as long as we let him freely run around every once in a while he sat so well in the stroller.

Our first day we got the inside tour of Harvard. Here we are in front of the law school.

We loved this tree stump in front of the science building.

The very first computer was created at Harvard and here it is.

 The Harvard library.
The second biggest library in the US. Only students are allowed in. Fortunately for us we were with a student and got to take a quick tour. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures but it sure was incredible.

While we took turns touring the library Preston loved running around the lawn and not being told which direction to go.

Enjoying a rich cup of hot chocolate after a full day in the cold.

Preston loves being a big boy. This made us laugh at how terrible it looks. A 10 month old, a beanie, and what looks like a beer bottle, he's hard core. Really it's a 10 month old keeping warm, licking the last few drops of rootbeer.

Monument at bunker hill. We climbed the 295(I might be a couple steps off) steps to the top. Thank you Jason and Jared for carrying Preston. That was not an easy task.

It may have been cold but it sure was beautiful to have the light dusting of snow throughout the day.

Poor Preston was so cold. I put the cracker in his mouth and this is how it stayed. I think it was thanks to the cold that he actually stayed in the stroller.

Preston loves to just walk with no direction. Thank you Natalie for keeping a hold of him so he didn't run into the road.

Lexington and Concord where the "shot heard round the world" was fired

Jared had to get back to start his new job. Preston and I stayed one more day to have a little more time seeing sites in Cambridge. This is Mount Auburn cemetery. It was absolutely gorgeous and made even better with the warmer weather.

Preston had no interest in staying in his stroller until I equipped him with a stick fro both hands.

This was such a fun little toy store. Curious George themed.
